BREAKIN' FOR CANCER TO ATTEMPT GUINESS WORLD RECORD

Beginning on March 23 a team of breakdancers will attempy to set a Guiness Book of World Records standard for Longest Breakdance Circle. The event, titled "Breakin' For Cancer," is set to raise funds for both the Canadian Cancer Society and to go towards families in need of funds due to a loss from cancer. 100% of the profits will go towards charities.

The event, put on by Sole Power Productions, will begin at 3 PM on Friday, March 23rd at the Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre and continue until at least 3 PM on Saturday, March 24th. It will be located at the Roadside Picnic food court area.

Some of Toronto's biggest name DJ's will be providing the music including DJ Starting From Scratch (FLOW 93.5), Baba Khan (3-time DJ of the Year), Jr Flo (World I.T.F. Champion) and DJ Grouch (North American Turntable Champion). It will also feature Canada's first DJ school, Scratch Lab DJ Institute.

In order to set the record a team of six to twelve dancers must breakdance for 24 hours consistently. The dance team consists of some of Canada's top dancers to ensure that the record will be achieved in an entertaining atmosphere.

The event will be broadcast live on Saturday by FLOW 93.5 FM.
