RCM ADDS 2 CLASSES TO URBAN MUSIC DEPARTMENT
Three years after launching Canada's first DJ program, the RCM Community School
is adding two more classes to its Urban Music Department. A production class is being added called Beats From Scratch.
Also being added is a 14-week program for developing rappers called Rock The Mic: Hip Hop Workshop.
Beats From Scratch will be taught by DJ Lil Jaz and T.R.A.C.K.S. and will begin on November 13, with spring classes
starting on April 23, 2007. Rock The Mic will be taught by Dan-e-o and Kamau, beginning on September 27 with winter
classes beginning January 24, 2007.
Classes for the DJ program will begin on October 23 and March 12, 2007.
