TALK SENSE
Talk Sense was born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 19, 1985. Reflective of the climate he was born in,
Talk Sense (also known as Michael Bourne) was blessed with the natural gift to be “cold” on the mic. He
moved to Ontario when he was 7 years old and became a steady follower of hip hop and everything that is
involved in its culture. By the time he was ten Talk was already testing his flowing skills, one day
while spittin silently at school, someone asked him what he was doing; upon discovery of what was going
on the student asked if he could here a display. The response that Talk got was so amazing that he
started encasing himself within a bubble of underground hip-hop , main stream, and turntable-ism. He
started sampling each genre to gain a feel for where he belonged in this world of Hip-Hop. He soon
figured out that his biggest strength was his versatility on the microphone and his ability to spit
about any topic.
Talk is unique in the way that he can change so easily and fluidly in any aspect of his delivery; he can
change anything from how his voice sounds to the speed of his flow, He can rap about sex, drugs, the
hood, gangsta shit, positive uplifting shit, party jams, pretty much anything a person can think of. But
he has worked for 7 years to get to this point and it hasn’t been an easy road. Talk has experienced
many failures; from contracts that didn’t go through to losses in talent shows where he shouldn’t have
lost. But through it all he has managed to stand up and overcome.
Talk Sense first started recording on a dirty computer microphone in his mothers basement on windows
programs. He has now evolved to a complex home studio which uses Cool Edit Pro as its basis of power. He
has learned how to use this program effectively and well and is currently working on his first debut
album self-titled “INTRODUCING”. Unsure of what the results will be, He is working hard to make sure
every song is a hit, hoping that the public will accept it and call out for the man who can Talk Sense
like no other.
