A once prominent and promising track star, with high hopes of running down a living in such a field, Set2 proves
that change can be good…real good. Spending his teenage years heavily involved in athletics, most were familiar
with the baton in his hand and not the pen. It’s funny how what you don’t see hits you the hardest. With an
unclaimed love and devotion for poetry developed at a young age, Set2 has grown up and put his stamp on what was
once a hobby. The baby steps that were once writing poems to romance the ladies matured to a jog with simply
expressing what was on his ever curious mind before emerging to leaps and bounds in the art of abstract language,
metaphors and similes, fables, and other advanced literary devices that would take his testing to a talent. With
an artistic appetite for knowledge he began to study the lyricists he had come to develop an idolization for. One
by one he would dissect the style and sound that lead him to become engaged and before long his studying became
practicing. Whether it be recording puchlines over the voice recorder he kept handy at all times or writing on
the back of any piece of paper he could find in the moment of inspiration, it became apparent that this once
pastime was now a passion. Now in possession of book stacks taller then himself, he felt it was only necessary
to take it to the next level. Not being able to fight without an army, Set2 manned his base with the engineering
basics necessary for recording the voice he demanded to be heard. Flirting with professionalism, generals in the
form of production were needed to charge the attack. Currently placing the finishing touches on his mixtape
titled, The Full-Time Hustla, Set2 lives up to his name plus overtime. Within just a year Set2 has accomplished
recording with Hip Hop Brooklyn veteran U.G. formerly of the Cell Dwellas, Multi-platinum selling Canadian artist
Snow, and other local and highly respected Toronto artists.
