L. VISION

L. Vision His father, from a hard struggle of opposition growing up in the rough city of Kingston, Jamaica met his mother, while she was on a missionary trip from Prince Edward Island to work in an orphanage in Jamaica. From his mother’s side, ancestors born 7 generations before, a daughter, Mary Hanover, was disowned from the throne of England under father King George III, for having conceived outside of the kingdom, resulting in a pregnancy with a local farmer and was banished to the new country of Canada. 7 generations later, after his parents relocated to Ontario, their 3rd son, Vision is born. Growing up with a troubled life in the city of Toronto, his musical expression, writing and natural abilities served as a medium to help him work through the obstacles he would face.

LYRICAL VISION the SHOW DOCTOR is a walking contradiction. Which means he's human.

But Vision's goal is to let you visually envision the situations put to you in his rhyme through it's lyrical composition, metaphors, choice of words and structure. His amazing lyrical diversity stemming from a lifetime of writing allows him to present music that addresses such a wider spectrum of content then his contemporaries. His music catalogue of unique concepts and catchy choruses range over beats that will move your body one night and have you feeling cocky in the club, to singing along to the positive messages in songs like "WE DON'T WANT THEM", an anti-drug effort sent out to children to stay away from harmful substances the next. His music jumps from storytelling rhythms to his experience living on the street to love ballads, whether they be for the better or worse aspects of modern relationships. Vision’s “vision” also encompasses subject matter dealing with politics of the world, consciousness concerning the global environment, the third world we ignore living in this “Western Bubble” and the personal struggles from within that we all must deal with on a day to day basis.

He is one of the multi-talented "visionaries" of the New Millennium. His artistic abilities continue to bring him great achievements across Canada. On an international level he has worked with actor Roger Smith and Rahzel from The Roots.
