JUGANOT

How many times have you been disappointed? How many times has your heart been broken by so-called representatives of Canadian hip-hop that do everything but represent. And in the end what are you left with. A feeling of betrayal, a CD that you paid twenty dollars for and will never listen to again, and one desperately needed wish, " Please!! Just let us have one M.C. with real skills come out of T.O. Just give us one M.C. that more interest in keeping it real, then selling himself to the highest bidder. One M.C. that's for us.

Well they say that in time all prayers will be answered, in other words its time. Although who refuse to believe prepare to be astonished, although with little faith stand aside, and make room for the JUGANOT.

You might have herd him on eighty-eight point one eating M.C, s collect from Mimico Corrections, you have seen him perform at a local dance and tear up the stage as if it were tissue paper, or you might have just been walking down Jane St. and found yourself in the middle of a Southside cipher. Whatever the case maybe the bottom line is, if you've herd him on the mic you know that Canada's been suffocating but air is on it's way.

JUGANOT has been on the scene since he was thirteen years old. He was first introduced to rapping when he was recruited by some of his local friends into a local group called Split Decision. During that time they released a video title "Bubble Gum. It was a commercial tune that opened the eyes of the Canadian music industry and forced them to take urban music in Canada more serious. But everything wasn't all good, cause even though the song made the industry recognize it was ridiculed by the streets for it's commercial ness, therefore so was Jugga. But Juganot shows no regrets. If you ask him, he'll tell you, "I was a baby then with a lot to learn about the music and myself. But if I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing, because these things made me the M.C. that I am today. A couple years later JUGANOT stepped back on to the scene with the group Graffity Logik. They released the hit single called "Can I Get A Yo" under Attic record label. The combination of quality lyrics and heart touching concepts allowed this Album to earn the respect of the street and the industry. But jugga wasn't happy. "Even though things were going well I still felt like something wasn't right", so when the contract expired he said goodbye and went out on his own. That's when the shit really hit the fan!

Out in the battle field (the street) he realized that no one respected him without his deal. In fact other M.C.'s in the city were under the impression that he was weak and easily concurred. So for the next couple of years he was constantly attacked by local M.C.'s wherever he went. Every mall, every dance, everywhere, and everyday just another battle. See that's what a lot of people never understood about him, he never got props because he had some videos or because he had a record deal. Every credential he had was earn and not given, because he refused to give up, he refuse to let any M.C. over power him, but most of all, he refused to be denied his right full place as one of the strongest and most feared M.C's ever to come out of North America.

The highly anticipated album "Everything's For A Reason" promises to be one of most controversial and emotional Albums of the year. Packed with banging beats, clever, well thought out lyrics, and touchy topics that most T.O. M.C.'s are afraid to touch make this album is destine to shake the city and every city around it. Under Brown Bricks Entertainment, an independent label founded on Jane st. the album is nothing less than a verbal movie. It's about life, life in the eyes of a young black man living in one of Toronto's most notorious metro housing projects Southside Jane st. It describes real life in Toronto, it describes the struggles,

The victories and the over all goals of the one T.O. M.C. that's willing to break all the rules.

Forget what you herd,
Forget what you know,
Forget what you thought was the truth and be forewarned.

Toronto is not ready!!
