GEE WUNDER

Gee Wunder As a yout growing up in the gritty city of Toronto GeeWunder was fortunate enough to come across hip-hop music and culture at an early age. His first exposure to the music came from listening to Ron Nelson’s Fantastic Voyage on 88.1 (University of Toronto Radio) in the 80s.

Beginning with the moniker Master G, making pause tapes with his voice recorded through the “built-in” speaker on the cassette player, Gee’s first tunes were...pretty basic, but had nuff potential. Throughout high school, the mysteriously elusive entertainer was always popular wit de ladies and eventually changed his rap name to G NICE polishing his performing and creative skills.

Already known from his national debut on RapCity’s 10th anniversary on MuchMusic Gee has been always heavily involved in the Toronto music scene performing and collaborating with various artists (including the Dream Warriors, Frankenstein and K-Force). Attending concerts by and performing with many of Toronto and New York’s hip hop legends including Special Ed, HDV, Michee Mee, Maestro Fresh Wes, Chubb Rock, Public Enemy and many others who all passed through the T. Dot made Gee's hunger to make his mark in the game insatiable, eventually adopting his current alias Gee Wunder along with his crew and movement Live Motivators.

The evolution has been slow, but steady musically, professionally and personally. Doing shows across Canada from Nova Scotia to Alberta in the past few years and getting radio plan on commercial and community radio across Canada Gee is finally ready to take the game over!!!! Ironically enough Gee eventually returned to MuchMusic but this time as the urban voice and music programmer of MuchMusic and MuchVibe.

Gee’s highly anticipated street album “Street Knowledge” (MotiveMusic/Urbnet Digital) will be released Jan. 2008 and first album ‘For The People’ shortly after including collaborations with producers Tone Mason, Anwan Ease, Gusto and others. It will be released to great anticipation in early 2008. Take a listen to Gee Wunder’s story and Motivate Lively.
